Dental Crown

Crown is a type of dental restoration.

Crowns are offered to patients to protect teeth that are deemed weak.
It could be a tooth with a very large part of coronal structure missing either due to decay or breakage, or a tooth that has been treated with Root Canal Therapy, or a tooth with a fracture.

Some tooth preparation is required to allow for the thickness of crown material.

Depending on aesthetic and mechanical requirements of each individual case crowns can be made of a wide variety of materials to suit any budget.
